Every year it draws a huge amount of tourists Along with some bad effects to nature. If it continues like that soon the place will face Destruction. to save this beauty you must conserve it. Only conservation will reduce the bad effects.
Why Sajek Valley needs Conservation
Once Bangladesh was considered as among the least visited countries in the world. It wasn't because Bangladesh doesn't have any beautiful tourist spots, But for economic structure and fame. But in recent years tourism expanded in huge numbers in Bangladesh both from foreign and local . Citizens lead a better life Economically than in the last decade. It has boosted the numbers of tourists In recent years. The problem with tourism in Bangladesh is that it has a huge population but the land area isn't much. population wise Bangladesh is the 8th Largest country in the world but land wise is 94th. This overpopulation problem often makes the tourist spots too crowded and caustic. And this excess amount of tourists Causes many problems like pollution. Specially famous tourist spots like Cox's Bazar Saint Martin Island Sajek Valley
Becomes the victim of it. and if it continues like this in near future there will be nothing left. so we need to conserve these places.
Sajek Valley is the most famous tourist spot in Bangladesh. The speciality of it is that It is connected to mother nature more than other Sports. Mountain carved roads, forest clouds make this place the perfect choice for the tourist . but over tourism is affecting this place.
so it needs to go under Conservation. Here are some reasons why Sajek Valley needs conservation.
Environmentally, Sajek Valley is one of the most sophisticated natural resources of Bangladesh. It has well-known biodiversity. The mountain forest around this area is a home of so many animals and trees. Some of them are at risk of extinction . So if the pressure of tourists continues in this area there are chances that in the near future many animals and trees will be lost forever. This is also one of the few places in Bangladesh where cycas and pinus trees can be found. These trees have a low rate of production. and due to disturbance it's even getting lower.
The most famous thing about Sajek Valley is that mountains here are so high that Clouds get stuck in between the mountains. The view of this natural incident is absolutely marvelous to watch. but to have a proper view of it tourists need to get in a better position and that is over the mountains. to provide this opportunity to the tourist Many hotels, restaurants and residential areas have been built over the mountains. But the building process has a bad impact on the environment. trees have been cut down mountains being curved. in search of natural beauties that were actually destroying them. So to get rid of this problem authorities must apply hard restrictions On this area.
native people who lived around Sajek Valley are also Affecting this
place. Their cultivation process zome Is not nature friendly. They cut down the Mountain grow forest then prepare that land for cultivation. cutting down trees is bad from every perspective. But there are some complications too. People who live around Sajek Valley don't have much land to cultivate . so they have to rely on nature. and the politicians they made out of it are severe. So the government needs to find a better way of living for these people.
Transportation system to reach Sajek Valley is very dangerous. The high mountain roads are very dangerous to drive on. Often this valley witnesses deadly accidents. These mess from the accidents often stayed in their position as they cannot be recovered. It pollutes the environment. Vehicles that are being used to vary the tourists also emit contagious gases that are harmful to nature.
Tourists make another thing that affects the environment , human waste. Human waste could fertilize land as well as could destroy them too. For example, tourists on Mount Everest reduce 25,000 tons of human waste every year. It made a huge impact on the lower area of Everest. Farmers who live in the lower area of Everest could cultivate for this. Similar things could happen here too. Another problem is that Bengalis are not famous for dumping the garbage and waste in proper places. Poly bags and other harmful wastes could destroy an ecosystem.
To give facilities to the tourists, accommodation, food and recreation providers often need to rely on nature. But sometimes it could damage nature's routine. Water is an example of this. To provide water , hotel and restaurant managements often destroy the natural flow of rivers. It could make a huge impact on the ecosystem too.
Overall a natural beauty stays a beauty until it’s not reconstructed by human needs. That’s why Sajek Valley needs as little disturbance as possible. Tourism is fine but it needs limitations too.
Conclusion
Natural resources like the Sajek valley are far more important than we think . Tourism is important in modern life but the health of nature is necessary. Sajek, Cox’s Bazar, and Kuakata are needed for our economy But we need to take care of these places too. If we don’t give proper care and attention they need it’s possible that in the near future we’ll have nothing left. So people and the authorities both need to understand the value of it.
