Bangladesh Railway is  the biggest Enterprise of Bangladesh Govt. Currently almost 40,000 people are working here. Railway connects 46 districts out of 64 of the country, with the current and future projects it will connect more districts.

 

Bangladesh Railway Now operate both Metre and Broad Gauge trains. Current locomotive fleet of Bangladesh Railway has 302 locomotives. Among  them 210-218 unit are usable. Now let’s see all Broad Gauge series Locomotive Of Bangladesh Railway :

বাংলাদেশ রেলওয়ে বর্তমানে বাংলাদেশ সরকারের সবথেক বড়  এন্টারপ্রাইজ। প্রায় ৪০,০০০

 মানুষ বর্তমানে এখানে চাকুরি করছে। দেশের ৪৬ টি জেলায় রেল সার্ভিস দিয়ে আসছে এবং

 সামনে আরো জেলা এতে সংযুক্ত হবে।

বর্তমানে রেলওয়ে মিটার এবং ব্রোড উভয় গেজের ট্রেনই ব্যবহার করছে। রেলের কাছে

 সর্বমোট ৩০২টি লোকোমোটীভ থাকলেও ব্যবহারযোগ্য মাত্র ২১০-২২০

6010 Locomotive of Bangladesh Railway From 6000 Series 

 

 6000 series is the oldest Broad gauge series locomotives that are currently in use of Bangladesh Railway. 18 unit was produced of this series in the 1960's and 14+ units are still in service.

6105 Locomotive of Bangladesh Railway From 6100 Series 

6100 series is almost similar with the 6000 series model. It was an update version of 6000 series. 16 of it was produced in 1968-1969. 12+ unit is still operating.

6204 Locomotive of Bangladesh Railway From 6200 Series 

Recently retired 6200 series locomotives were introduced to Bangladesh Railway in 1980. 12 unit was produced.

6306 Locomotive of Bangladesh Railway From 6300 Series 

 6300 series locomotives were produced in 1982. Among it's 12 units 6 were converted into air break. These were build by Bombardier , Canada. Model number  MX-624, Power 2200 Hp. 

6404 Locomotive of Bangladesh Railway From 6400 Series 

 These Indian made locomotives were introduced to Bangladesh Railway in 1999-2003 period. 13 unit's of it is serving quite well till now.

6523 Locomotive of Bangladesh Railway From 6523 Series 

6500 series locomotives was the first CPU controlled Locomotive  of Bangladesh Railway. it was introduced in 2012-2014. 26 unit is WDM3A and 10 unit (Indian gift in 2020) is WDM-3D.

6601 and 6604 Locomotive of Bangladesh Railway From 6600 Series 

These newly bought progress rail Locomotives was ordered in 2019. Total 40 of it will be add into Railway's Service soon.
